Dickson Dee/China

soccer with sound art
I used an article from a very special soccer commentator in china, zhang xiao zhou, a music lover who participates actively in music activities, and transforms it into sound with the use of sound hack. I also used photos of three soccer players in china as music source. They are yang chen, xie hui, and shao jia. In addition, I used live commentary recording from soccer games in china as well as Hong Kong with two languages, mandarin and Cantonese.
Using the source materials listed above, I used sound hack, filters, and effector softwares to arrange the sound. After that, I used protools TDM to edit and re-arrange. Besides from the above software’s, I used live4 as the effector and instrument and then recorded to protools. These are some of my techniques.
I’m glad to be invited to participate in this exciting sound project. Music + sports is an interesting brand new approach. I would hereby like to extend my gratitude to Manuel Rocha and Zbigniew Karkowski.
